Staff: TBA

Location: Music room on main floor

Ages: Infant up to 5 years old

This program operates year round and is staffed by one regular paid staff and volunteers. Parents are invited to bring their children to this room any time after 10:20 a.m. Some parents have their children participate in the inter-generational portion of the worship service. We have a small Prayground table set up in the Sanctuary, on the left side, where young children can color or draw using biblical sheets or play with playdough and then parents can bring them to the Music Room following that time. The Nursery Leader will then direct them in their play with a biblical story or poem, snack, craft or coloring sheet and interaction time with each other.  DURING COVID, They have been receiving Faith@Home Kits periodically to do with their families & siblings and emails with video links to bible lessons including worksheets, music links along with easy craft or movement links. We look so forward to the time when we can re-open and meet back in person to play with each other.

Worship 4 Kids is our Sunday morning program. Children from ages 6-12 are invited to join us for a time of wondering and exploration. This involves a variety of United Church programming including Godly Play.  Godly Play is a program based on the Montessori method of education. We follow the same church seasons that the adults use and tie everything together after listening to a story based on the sacred stories, parables, liturgical actions & silences. The children are gathered together and with an invitation to come play with God, we enjoy a small feast (snack time) daily and the children are allowed "to choose their work."  Vivian can use older youth 13 & up along with adult volunteers to assist with her programing each Sunday. CURRENTLY DURING COVID, I have been providing video links to the bible lessons by email with worksheets, music links along with craft and movement links. We sometimes arrange small meet-ups when conditions allow.  We also have moved to providing Faith@Home Kits periodically through the year that families can do at home. We look so forward to the time when we can re-open in person to continue our faith- based lessons.   Sincerely, Vivian
