United Churches of Red Deer - Women's Retreat

On May 26-28 weekend 18 women (10 for the entire weekend & 8 for Saturday only) from Sunnybrook and Gaetz Memorial United Churches enjoyed a wonderful women's retreat at Camp Kuriakos on Sylvan Lake.  We were very fortunate again to have Rev. Fran Hare lead us, this time in exploring Prayer and Healing.  As always there was plenty of time to meet new friends and reconnect with old friends  Our weather was just perfect and many enjoyed getting out to explore and walk around the campsite.  Saturday evening Donna Polutnik treated us to her guitar and lead us in some singing.  Sunday morning we had a spirit-filled time looking over the lake, listening to the birds and absorbing God's creation in a Quaker style worship.  For those that weren't there you missed a very special time and we hope you will be able to join us next year.
