Retreat
Last week Chinook Winds Region and Leader-Shift, collaborated to offer our regional ministry personnel some sacred time together at Sanctum Retreat Centre near Caroline, Alberta. It was a wonderful time of renewal, connection, reflection and learning. Some of us even went out for afternoon walks, despite the cold. I am so grateful for our regional staff who dedicated the time and energy toward an event like this to care for and support the ministers of our region.
Midwinter is a good time for all of us to remember the importance of self-care. Our recent cold snap may have been a difficult time for you physically and emotionally. It is easy for us to feel isolated and lonely when we can’t get out and about very easily. So, here’s an invitation for you to carve out some time today to do something that rejuvenates your spirit. Play some music, read a book, write in a journal, phone a friend, or go for a walk. Keep it simple. Remember what brings you joy and give thanks for the relationships that nurture your spirit. We are not alone, and spring is around the corner.
Bring on the warm temperatures!
Peace and joy,
Nancy
