Musings on the Labyrinth
If you follow the path of the labyrinth, you can’t get lost be- cause there’s only the one path. In this way, it’s very different from a maze.
However, sometimes we stop, step off the path for a moment onto the grass, or turn around to admire the view or talk to someone. If you didn’t mark what direction you were facing, you may inadvertently backtrack the way you came. And so you might suddenly find yourself back in the middle or back at the entrance before you got to the centre.
If this happens, don’t worry. You didn’t do anything “wrong”. It might even be a metaphor for something that’s happening in life. Notice what happened and move on. You may even want to laugh. That’s more than okay too!
